Kiara's Real Colors

*UPDATE 9/19/16* I will not be replying to any more comments on this picture.  Yeah, I get that you think that the cub at the end of TLK became Kopa.  Well it didn't.  You can imagine it all you want, I don't care.  But if we're talking about OFFICIAL DISNEY CANON, Kopa does NOT EXIST.  So anyway, I'm tired of arguing about it.  Comment if you want, but I'm going to ignore all comments from now on.

But what about Kiara? Well, we do see Kiara at the end of The Lion King. According to the writers, that is Kiara (technically "Fluffy", but it officially becomes Kiara). So keeping that in mind, let's explore TLK II's color schemes on the characters that appear in both films.

DJ88 has some great pictures on this subject:

So when we draw Simba or Nala, which version do we normally draw? The one from the first film, because that's "who they really are". THAT is what they look like. So why don't we do that with Kiara? Because everyone insists that cub is Kopa?? I'm gonna get shot for this one, but Kopa isn't canon.

Honestly, other than the bad colors, the cubs do look similar. The only difference (again, besides the colors) is her ear rims. But what about the hair tuft? The animators did include her hair tuft in TLK 2 as a baby. She just outgrew it.
Seriously though, I think the colors in TLK 2 are a big deal. Just look at Rafiki's hands in those screencaps I linked! Even those are different from each other! I'm going to use these new colors for Kiara from now on. But that's just me.
