Kovu's Colors

Okay, so Kovu's colors have always bothered me. Actually, everyone's colors from TLK 2 have bothered me. We can use Simba or Nala's colors from the first film, but Kovu is only in the sequel. This is how I determine Kovu's real colors (as if he was in TLK 1). Here are some screen shots where each character is in direct sunlight. In Simba's Pride, Kovu is almost the same color as Pumbaa. But look, they made Pumbaa purple. what....
So I adjusted Kovu's colors to almost match Pumbaa in the first film. He's a bit brighter though. So you see? If Pumbaa isn't purple, neither is Kovu!

*edit* used Scar in the first box because he's the only lion who's colors are close to Pumbaa's.  Not because he's Kovu's father/mentor/guardian/sibling/clone/scratching post/whatever.
